“The Challenges of Educating the Seafarer of 2030” will be the conference’s main theme. This theme will be further developed in 4 discussion panels, covering contemporary issues such as the seafarers’ resilience at sea, the adaptation of young seafarers training to the modern requirements of the shipping industry where technology is a key factor, the need for continuous training on environmental protection issues and the future of maritime employability.

The conference is organized by Metropolitan College’s Maritime Academy, one of the biggest educational institutions in maritime and shipping studies in South Europe.

The conference will welcome international speakers of major shipping companies and industry stakeholders.
