The objectives of the course are to familiarize participants with the steps and the principles involved in designing valid, practical and objective, structured, competency-based interviews, as well as the key communication skills involved in conducting interviews. Participants will get a thorough understanding of the importance of competencies and the way that interviews can be designed to evaluate and rate candidates on job-specific competencies. Interview skills pertaining to the stages before, during and after an interview will be analysed and specific emphasis will be given on the role of verbal and non-verbal communication during an interview, for both the interviewer and the interviewee side. Participants will have the chance to practice on the taught interviewing skills and methodology for conducting an interview.
