DNV GL Maritime Academy Hellas is offering on 19 and 20 April 2016, a two-day course on the Implementation and Internal Auditing if an EMS for shipping companies.

The objectives of the course are to familiarise the participants with the requirements of the ISO Standard 14001 and to facilitate an understanding of how the requirements can be integrated in an environmental management system in a shipping company and on board its ships, i.e. in existing Safety Management Systems (ISM).

Participants will be qualified as Internal Auditors according to the requirements of the ISO Standard 14001 and based on the guidelines for auditor qualification and training contained in the ISO 19011 Standard. Participants will demonstrate the competence to prepare and conduct Internal Audits in accordance with accepted audit principles.
