
DNV – Remote Navigational Assessment based on Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) Analysis

Objective:
A 1-day course that provides participants with the knowledge, understanding and regulatory framework on how to assess and analyse the vessel’s VDR recording data in accordance with the SMS policies and procedures.
About the course/Aim:
In accordance with TMSA, SIRE 2.0 and DryBMS requirements, the aim of the course is to further increase the knowledge and understanding on how to use the remote navigational assessments as a tool for improvement of vessel and company’s performance.
The course is delivered in cooperation with Prevention at Sea Group.
Emphasis will be given on:
- VDR assessment scope
- Step-by-step audit process
- Supporting documentation & Bridge equipment readings
- Areas of concern and analysis
- Bridge Team assessment
- Remote auditing of the navigational process & Passage Plan review
- Analysis of findings
- Industry trends
- Practical exercises
