Στο πλαίσιο της διεθνούς ναυτιλιακής έκθεσης Posidonia 2016, η SingularLogic θα διοργανώσει workshop με τίτλο “Ports Supply Chain Security: The MEDUSA and MITIGATE approach”, κατά την διάρκεια του οποίου θα γίνει επίδειξη των έργων και επισκέπτες ομιλητές θα παρουσιάσουν νέες ερευνητικές κατευθύνσεις στον τομέα της ναυτιλιακής ψηφιακής ασφάλειας (maritime cyber security).

Το workshop θα λάβει χώρα την Τρίτη 7/6, 15:00-17:00 στο Posidonia Room 2.

Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιείται στο πλαίσιο των συγχρηματοδοτούμενων Ευρωπαϊκών ερευνητικών έργων MEDUSA και MITIGATE στα οποία συμμετέχει η εταιρεία.

Η κρισιμότητα της ναυτιλίας για τα ευρωπαϊκά κράτη-μέλη και τις οικονομίες τους αντανακλάται ξεκάθαρα από το γεγονός ότι υπάρχουν 329 ευρωπαϊκά εμπορικά λιμάνια διαμέσου των οποίων εισάγεται και εξάγεται το 74% των αγαθών εντός της ΕΕ. Από το 2013, η SingularLogic δραστηριοποιείται στον χώρο της ψηφιακής ασφάλειας λιμένων, αναπτύσσοντας σε συνεργασία με το Κέντρο Ερευνών του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς καινοτόμα εργαλεία ανάλυσης επικινδυνότητας (risk assessment) συμβατά με τα πρότυπα ασφαλείας ISPS, ISO27001 και ISO27005. Η παρθενική εμφάνιση της εταιρείας στον χώρο της ψηφιακής ασφάλειας λιμένων συνδέεται με το Ευρωπαϊκό ερευνητικό έργο CYSM. Στο εν λόγω έργο αναπτύχθηκε μια συνεργατική πλατφόρμα ανάλυσης επικινδυνότητας η οποία δίνει τη δυνατότητα στους Security Officers των λιμένων να αξιολογήσουν τις φυσικές και ψηφιακές απειλές των εγκαταστάσεων ευθύνης τους.
Στη συνέχεια, η εταιρεία συμμετέχει στο έργο MEDUSA, κατά το οποίο έχει αναπτυχθεί ένα εργαλείο ανάλυσης ρίσκου τόσο για το λιμάνι όσο και για τους συνεργάτες της εφοδιαστικής του αλυσίδας. Τα έργα CYSM και MEDUSA συγχρηματοδοτούνται από το Πρόγραμμα «Prevention, Preparedness and Consequence Management of Terrorism and other Security-related Risks» της Ε.Ε.
Παράλληλα με το MEDUSA, η SingularLogic αυτή την στιγμή συμμετέχει στο έργο MITIGATE το οποίο είναι συγχρηματοδοτούμενο από το Πρόγραμμα Horizon2020. Η εταιρεία έχει αναλάβει το σημαντικότερο μέρος της ανάπτυξης ενός δυναμικού και καλά τεκμηριωμένου συστήματος ανάλυσης επικινδυνότητας, το οποίο βοηθά στην μοντελοποίηση, απεικόνιση, αξιολόγηση και πρόβλεψη των ψηφιακών κινδύνων της εφοδιαστικής αλυσίδας του λιμανιού, εφαρμόζοντας καινοτόμες τεχνολογίες μοντελοποίησης, crowd sourcing, group decision-making και Big Data. Αυτή την στιγμή το έργο MITIGATE βρίσκεται σε στάδιο υλοποίησης.

English Description:

The maritime sector sustains the society and economy through the movement of people and vital goods, such as energy (transportation of oil and gas), food etc. The criticality of the maritime sector for the European Member States and economies is clearly illustrated by the fact that there are 329 European commercial ports transiting 74% of imported and exported goods and 37% of exchanges within the European Union. Singular Logic is the first company in Greece that is actively involved in the maritime security sector by developing innovative risk assessment tools compliant with maritime security standards e.g. ISPS and cyber security standards e.g. ISO27001, ISO27005 collaborating with the University of Piraeus (Dept. of Informatics). The CYSM risk assessment tool enables port operators to assess the physical and cyber threats of their ports facilities; it was developed during the E.C. project CYSM (http://www.cysm.eu/index.php/en/). The MEDUSA risk assessment tool enables port operators and their supply chain business partners to estimate their cyber risks that are relevant in their supply chain services (e.g. container management, vehicle transport); it was developed during the E.C. project MEDUSA http://medusa.cs.unipi.gr/. Both projects were funded under the “Prevention, Preparedness and Consequence Management of Terrorism and other Security-related Risks” Programme of the European Union.

Singular Logic is currently the main developer of the MITIGATE dynamic, evidence-based risk assessment tool with which cyber supply chain threats may be assessed, forecasted and visualized by all supply chain participants. Innovative technologies as modelling, crowd sourcing, group decision making and big data are among the technologies comprising the tool. During The International Shipping Exhibition Posidonia 2016, Singular Logic is organizing a workshop, entitled “Ports Supply Chain Security: The MEDUSA and MITIGATE approach” in which these tools will be demonstrated and invited speakers will pave the way for new R&D directions in the maritime security sector. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, 7 June 2016, 15:00-17:00.
